Gliding along the Blue Danube and large has been a long, thin vessel. This was apparently to be followed by a procession of other river craft, but it was really only 2 or 3, although many more during the day crossed. I arrived at night in Passau, Germany in the past and now for a walk along the path of the river near where the Blue Danube and Inn meet the water. Some of these ships docked in Passau, while others continuedownstream of Vienna and Budapest.
In the days that followed, I learned to understand why this is the best way for Europe, is as follows:
1 -. What your holiday stress-free dining room of the ship is your coach, and hotel combined. Unlike a package tour and motor coach only once, and do not get a bit 'of an hour in advance. The crew is attentive, and because these smaller vessels will have the opportunity to exchange experienceseasily with other passengers. As you can explore the journey through the heart of Europe, or relax as you want. You are in a foreign country, but made all the arrangements for you.
2. Election of boats on the Danube - I had no idea of the large number of cruise ships sailing this route historic restaurants. And I should not call it fine river boats to luxury yachts are a few stories high withRooms, libraries and other public spaces. Elegant room cabins dot each side of the ship.
3 -. An extraordinary journey, the river Danube is the longest river in Western Europe and connecting door to other waterways, there is an incredible variety of trails in various lengths from 7 days. All paths of travel cruise on the Danube, at least from Passau, Germany to Vienna, but can come from Nuremberg orfurther upstream. Heading down the cruise ends in Vienna or Budapest, Hungary. It is always cruise on the Danube in Germany and Austria, but many locations including Hungary, Slovakia and other countries.
4 -. The sightseeing boats leave right in the heart of the port so that you can easily explore, return to the ship with the shopping and head back. In Europe, the most important museums, other churches and squares, ancient landmarks, medieval districts generally centrally located, which is near the dock where the ship (floating hotel). Many cruise lines offer shore excursions, including driving interesting wine tasting, cycling, apple strudel, and others.
. Scenario 5 get 24 / 7 - from the deck or cabin itself is always an interesting scenery along the Blue Danube ... Austrian wine region of Wachau, theCathedrals in Melk, Passau, Durnstein quaint shops, castles, historic Ferris wheel, dating back to 186th, cyclists along the bike paths on both sides, and much more. I mentioned the region but, of course, Germany and Austria also have great beers that you can enjoy the ship or in the beer gardens on the beach.
6 -. culture depending on your itinerary, you can listen to music, fromlargest organ of St. Stephen's Cathedral in Passau, see the Vienna State Opera. For me, culture is a famous coffee outside with a good coffee and pastries for Vienna, sit and watch people stroll the streets pedestrian only.
7 -. Pre & Post Tours If you end the cruise in Bavaria close to you is in the heart of Europe, which is an ideal base for exploring and nearby cities such as Salzburg or Munich MonacoCastles of King Ludwig built. A cruise on the Danube, Europe and most enjoyable way to explore the history, the easiest.
